Eureka! Classics | An animated comedy of love & death, paranoia and 10 inches of iron pipe. featuring the voices of Bill Bailey, Ben Bishop, Olivia Colman, Adrian Edmondson, Toby Stephens, Johnny Vegas.

A hugely original European animated feature film, Terkel broke all box office records when released last year in its native Denmark. It has now been re-voiced for the UK featuring some of our best known and brightest up-and-coming comedy talent.

The most irreverent, anarchic and politically incorrect film of the year, this is the story of Terkel (Edmondson), a nerdy teenager whose life is no picnic. Terkel’s mum (Colman), is about to marry his dad, and she’s too interested in the wedding, fags and kinky sex to pay attention to him. He’s fallen out with his best friend Jason (Bishop) and his psychopathic Uncle Stewart (Vegas) has just pasted two of the class bully-boys who make Terkel’s life hell.

His teacher has met with an untimely death and her replacement Justin (Stephens), is an animal loving, guitar playing, tree hugger—the girls love him! Fat Doris is the only one to love Terkel unconditionally, but to curry favour with the bully-boys Terkel has turned on her with disastrous results. Meanwhile, Terkel has started receiving mysterious death threats. Terkel’s in trouble, and his life is about to get even worse!

The English version has been adapted by BAFTA® winning UK screenwriter Mark Burton (Madagascar, Wallace and Gromit: Curse of the Were-Rabbit; Have I got News for You) with lyrics by song-writer Willie Dowling (Snow White – The Sequel) and produced by acclaimed film-makers Michael Rose (Chicken Run, Wallace and Gromit) and Martin Pope (Heart of Me, Lawless Heart) on behalf of Eureka Entertainment.
