Marc Müller, Producer
After post-graduate studies in China, followed by research, teaching. broadcasting, and publishing on ethnomusicology and cinema studies, Marcus Müller has established himself as one the key programmers and festival directors of his generation. He has been director of the Rotterdam Film Festival (1991-2000), the Locarno International Film Festival (1991-2000), and now the Venice Film Festival (2004-present).
Müller has also been a key supporter and producer of adventurous international filmmaking, from establishing Rotterdam's Hubert Bals Fund to directing Benetton's film and video department FABRICA, to his current position as president of Downtown Pictures.
Among the films he has produced or co-produced: Zhang Yuan's SEVENTEEN YEARS (1999). Samira Makhmalbaf's BLACKBOARDS (2000), Danis Tanovic's NO MAN'S LAND (2001), and Aleksander Sokurov's THE SUN (2005).
Wang Shuo, Writer / Executive Producer
Wang Shuo is the author of the original novel on which LITTLE RED FLOWERS is based, KAN SHANG QU HEN MEI (Could Be Beautiful), and is also the film's executive producer.
He is perhaps the most famous novelist in China today. A best-selling writer since the 1990s, he's been described as the 'enfant-terrible' of Chinese literature for his innovative and influential use of vernacular language, and for his instant quotability in Chinese mass media. Most of his more than ten novels have been adapted into films; he has written or co-written screenplays for films by such directors as Feng Xiaogang, Jiang Wen, and Zhang Yuan.
Wang Shuo has directed one film himself, BABA, which won the Locarno Film Festival's Golden Leopard prize in 2000.
Ning Dai, Screenplay
Ning Dai graduated with a degree in screenwriting from the Beijing Film Academy. A long time collaborator with Zhang Yuan, she has written or co-written screenplays for his SONS (1996) and SEVENTEEN YEARS (1999), as well as for director Ning Ying's films FOR FUN (1993) and I LOVE BEIJING (2001).-

Yang Tuo, Director of Photography
After working as an assistant cameraman on more than 30 features since 1980, Yang Tao established his own production company in 1985, which has produced and shot more than 150 music videos and commercials.
His credits as cinematographer include 'Chinaman' (1992), Wang Xiaoshuai's 'So Close To Paradise' (1999), Jiang Xiaozhen's 'X-Roads' (2001), Zhang Yibai's 'About Love' (2004), and Xie Dong's 'Summer With You' (2005).
Huo Tingxiao, Production Design
Huo Tingxiao is the celebrated production designer of Zhang Yimou's 'Hero' (2002) and most recently 'House of FlyingDaggers' (2004) -for which he won China's Golden Rooster Award and the US National Board of Review Award for Best Art Direction.
After graduation from the Beijing Film Academy in 1991, he worked closely with Chen Kaige, serving as production designer of 'Farewell My Concubine' (1993) and 'The Emperor and the Asassin' (1998). Huo won his first Golden Rooster Award in 1993 for He Ping's 'Red Firecracker, Green Firecracker'
Jacopo Quadri, Editor
'Little Red Flowers' is Zhang Yuan's second collaboration with Jacopo Quadri, following their Venice Biennale Director's Award-winning 'Seventeen Years' (1999).
Quadri has edited a prestigious list of films, including 'The Dreamers' (2003) and 'Besieged' (1998) for Bernardo Bertolucci, and Thai director Apichatpong Weerasethakul's visually stunning 'Tropical Malady' (2004).
Carlo Crivelli, Composer
Noted Italian composer Carlo Crivelli has written the music for many films of Marco Bellocchio's, including 'Devil in the Flesh' (1986), 'The Witches'Sabbath' (1988), 'The Conviction' (1991), 'The Butterfy's Dream' (1994) and 'The Nanny' (1999).
He has also written the scores for the Taviani Brothers' 'Elective Affinities' (1996) and Manuel Pradal's 'Marie Bae Des Anges' (1999).
