Eureka! TV | David Mitchell and Robert Webb’s riotous comedy show, The Mitchell and Webb Situation, gushes forth an hilarious stream of surreal and quirkily inventive sketches self-penned by the talented duo. Originally made for British television’s much missed channel, Play UK, its cult success catapulted the stars into their acting roles in Channel 4's hugely successful, and BAFTA-nominated, Peep Show.

With their comedy-writing developed as members of the prestigious Cambridge Footlights group (whose past performers have included Peter Cook, John Cleese and Stephen Fry), and honed with a series of two-man shows on the Edinburgh Fringe, Mitchell and Webb have continued to shell out pure comedy gold.

Directed by David Kerr (Cutting It and the star-studded Reeves and Mortimer sketch show, Monkey Trousers), The Mitchell and Webb Situation, also features Peep Show regular Sophie Chapman (Olivia Coleman) and a host of young, British comedy talent. Eureka Entertainment is proud to present the DVD premiere of The Mitchell and Webb Situation, finally releasing the first six-part series from its exclusive UK Play transmission.

As David Mitchell himself said: ”I’m more proud of the way it turned out than annoyed that it was only aired on a small channel.”

Last year, after writing Bruiser alongside Ricky Gervais (The Office, Extras), the pair returned to the sketch show format to bring their critically-acclaimed BBC Radio 4 show, That Mitchell and Webb Sound, to BBC2.

Currently, they have another series on BBC2, called That Mitchell and Webb Look.
