Eureka Entertainment has announced they have acquired the rights (UK & Ireland) from Seville International to the Canadian film Allure (formerly A Worthy Companion) starring Emmy nominee Evan Rachel Wood (Westworld), and from Level K the Australian film The Butterfly Tree starring Golden Globe nominee Melissa George (30 Days of Night).

Carlos and Jason Sanchez wrote and directed Allure, which premiered in Toronto and stars Wood as an emotionally unstable woman who starts a relationship with an unhappy teenager. As the rebellious woman and innocent youngster find solace in each other, the mutual attraction spirals out of control. Julia Sarah Stone and Denis O’Hare (Dallas Buyers Club) also star.

In Priscilla Cameron’s debut feature The Butterfly Tree, George plays the part of Evelyn, a burlesque queen, who bewitches single dad Al and his teenage son, Fin with her zest for life. When father and son discover they are competing for the affections of the same woman, old wounds are reopened over the death of Fin’s mother. Through the vivacious Evelyn, Fin learns the power of forgiveness and relinquishes his goddess in return for a family. In this seductive and heart-warming story, both men will discover the power of selfless love. Ewen Leslie (Top of the Lake) and Ed Oxenbould (The Visit) also star.

Both Allure and The Butterfly Tree are expected to be released theatrically in the UK and Ireland ahead of home video releases in the second half of 2018.
